East
Lochhead is situated on the A760 one mile west of the village of Lochwinnoch. It is located south west of Glasgow and close to the motorway network linking Glasgow to Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling and Carlisle in England. Lochwinnoch is also on the main railway to Ayr and Ardrossan, and passengers from prestwick Airport can reach us by train. National Cycle Route 7, Glasgow to Carlisle, passes East Lochhead, (we now have our own surfaced access to it), and we often welcome cyclists making for Inverness in the north of Scotland. East Lochhead is also a Sustrans Stamping Station. We now have our own footpath access to the cycle track. Lochwinnoch is also served by local bus routes serving Paisley, Johnstone and Kilwinning. Lochwinnoch is an ideal centre for touring West Central Scotland. To learn more about the village look at www.lochwinnoch.info |
